Soy nacida en California

Lo que antes era de mi gente

No me importa donde esté

Mi cultura mexicana seguirá presente

Escucho las campanas de la iglesia

Me levanto y cierro la puerta

Jalisco, San Ysidro, San Diego y Tijuana

Son partes de mi memoria que me hacen Chicana

Las fiestas patronales de mi rancho son mis favoritas

Buscapies, tacos, toros, cohetes

Y se siente el ritmo

Que viva Jalisco!

Se acabo la diversión

Me dicen “Pase por la línea de extranjeros señorita”

Y yo con confusión
